Is your baby about to be a graduate?

A big question asked is "when is the right time to get my senior's session booked?" And honestly, I personally don't think there is one cut and dry answer. I will say though, that if your senior is wanting one of their photos entered into the yearbook, the school does have a deadline for turning in an image, so I would pay attention to that and make sure you give you and your photographer plenty of time for booking, planning, outfit choosing and then having the images edited and returned.

Keeping all of that in mind, a good time to book the session would be summer going into senior year or even that fall (so start of senior year). Now I have done several sessions halfway through or even more towards the end of their senior year, but that was with no worry about getting anything turned in for the yearbook.

Let's talk location.

I definitely want your senior to feel like themselves and include who they are. Sometimes they have a spot already in mind, and sometimes they need ideas, that's where I come in. Some questions I like to ask is if they are more of an outdoor country setting type of personality or do they vibe more with the downtown urban styles? Do they have any activities they love and possibly want to incorporate in their photos such as a sport or hobby? Once we get that information shared, the location ideas start to flow.

The rest of the details.

After we get the date and location picked out, I like to send over a questionnaire for your senior to fill out so I can get to know them a little more before their scheduled session. Getting to know them before helps me learn who they are, how their personality is and what may or may not be in their comfort zone during the session.

Outfits: If an outfit change is wanted, that is definitely something that can be done! I do have a couple different packages and each one does include an outfit change (or more) in which a pop-up changing tent is provided.
